The Trust Board decided to engage the services of a specialist recruitment firm, Saxton Bamfylde, to recruit a successor for Jen.   Their work for us has involved an extensive external search which resulted in a wide range of applicants for us to consider and interview. 

Following a rigorous selection process, I am delighted to tell you that we have appointed Tom Flynn, our current Chief Operating Officer, to the role and he will formally take up his new position in September. 

Tom emerged as the candidate with the most compelling vision to lead the development of the Trust over the next five years, and is committed to our model that empowers all our schools to develop and champion their own identity.  He joined us in 2022 after a decade-long career in higher education, most recently as a member of the senior team at Royal Holloway and Imperial College.  He is also a Governor at Newham College London.
